Recipe: Soy Buttered French Green Beans
I’m tired. These are good. Beans are nutritious. Butter makes you warm, eventually. Sesame seeds are pretty.
Soy Buttered French Green Beans
Serves: 6 as a side dish
1lb fresh French green beans or regular green beans, washed and ends cut
1 Tbsp unsalted butter
1/2 Tbsp soy sauce
toasted sesame seeds
1. Boil water in a large pot. Add the green beans and boil for 5-8 minutes. Take a bite out of one occasionally, they should be bright green and slightly crunchy. Drain and put in a large bowl. Set aside.
2. In the pot used to cook the green beans, melt the butter and soy sauce over medium heat. Once the soy butter starts bubbling a little bit, remove from heat and pour over the green beans. Toss the beans to coat evenly and shake out a small amount of sesame seeds to garnish, the amount is up to you.
