Recipe: Lemons… and a nod to Tsunami Bomb

LEMONADE!! You drink it! It’s sour as hell! I like it that way! You will, too! OR ELSE!

Tsunami Bomb – Lemonade

Serves: 2 quarts

8 lemons, should be slightly smushy as that means a thin skin and more juice
1/2 to 1 cup of sugar, up to you
8 about cups water

1. Roll each lemon to release the juice inside and then cut all but one in half. Use your hand or a strainer placed over a 2 quart jug to catch the seeds as you squeeze the half-lemons. Add your desired amount of sugar and 1 cup of water. Stir until the sugar is dissolved. Add the rest of the water or part water/part ice.
2. Take the last lemon, wash, cut into slices, remove the seeds, and add to the lemonade.

I hate having recipes without a picture, but come on we all know what lemonade looks like. Need help? Imagine a tall glass straight from the freezer, with a little lemon wedge stuck on the side. Now add a delicious smell of lemons emanating from the liquid inside the glass, promising a refreshing coolness that will tingle the tongue….

Oh, yeah, this tip bears repeating. Keep the juiced lemon hulls in the freezer and every week, grind about 3 of them in the disposal to both sharpen the blades and clean the disposal.
